How to apply for Easter Orchestra Week
Applying is a two-step process: find your application route below based on your instrument and previous attendance, then select the appropriate form to submit.
Please note that we offer financial assistance for younger players:
Free scholarship places (for string and harp players aged 18–25), half-price places (for full-time students and young people aged 18–25), and a reduced £450 rate (for players aged 30 or under) are available across our application routes.
Step 1: Which application route should I use?

Your place is not guaranteed until formally confirmed by the secretary in writing.

Apply for a place
Who should use this form:
- All string, harp, and percussion players
- Woodwind and brass players who attended in one of the previous two years
Covers standard subscriptions, student and 18–25 half-price places, and the young person rate (30 and under) of £450. You will need to pay a deposit to validate your application — details are given on the form.
Please note: Applying does not guarantee a place, even for returning players. Places are allocated to maintain section balance, so we recommend applying early. The musical director’s decision is final.
Join the waiting list
Who should use this form:
- Woodwind and brass players who did not attend in one of the previous two years
- Any player whose instrument section is currently full
You do not need to pay anything when joining the waiting list. We will contact you immediately if a suitable place becomes available.
Apply for a Scholarship
Who should use this form:
- String and harp players aged 18–25 seeking 100% funded places
You only need to apply once.
If we are unable to offer you a scholarship place, we will automatically consider you for a subsidised half-price or £450 young person place where applicable.
